It would be cool to be able to glace planet like the Covenant in halo. But also having ship that can undo the glassing for balance game play.

Seems odd that as a society you just "have access" to buildings and in order to "design" a new building you have to build up to the design studio. Feels like you should be able to design and make the basic buildings so that your entire empire can start off with a theme instead of having to use predesigned buildings. Like handcrafting a blank piece of paper you can "draw Up" a design of a farm, carpenter, ect..

Hello everybody. First, I just wanted to say that this game looks very promising and amazing. I was thinking last night: I just want a non-Eve Sci-Fi/Space MMORPG where I can explore space and planets in a persistent, seamless universe (so I did some searching). I am very glad I stumbled upon Shores of Hazeron, as it looks to be a hidden gem for me. It is seriously offering everything I was looking for.
The graphics do not bother me at all (has a charming look to me actually). The player base does concern me a little bit, as I never seem to see more than 10 Avatars on at once, but what can you do you know?
My other concern is the steep learning curve. There seems to be A LOT going on with what you can do within the game (which is awesome!). This seems to be a TRUE Sandbox and that excites me.
The Wiki is very informative and I will be visiting it often, but I guess I am more of a "visual learner" when it comes to games like this. There isn't too much on Youtube, but I did narrow it down to some users that have covered the game to a certain extent. My question is, which of these sources of video will benefit a new player like myself the most? Which is the most informative you believe?

Those seem to be the most "recent" videos. Any recommendations or suggestions?
Perhaps I should just dive in and learn the game for myself or take a different route?
Anyways, this game looks amazing and I am hopeful it will be a great experience. I know there is a lot to learn, I just don't want to be overwhelmed with little to no knowledge when first starting out.

Right now we manually have to enable the AFK indicator on the "Avatars Online" window. Very few players seem to not use it, either they don't know about it or they forget to enable it.
Maybe it would be useful to make an optional Automatic AFK timer.
For example you input a number of minutes in the settings, when there is no user inputs for that amount of minutes enable the AFK indicator.
Don't know if it should be enabled by default though. Thoughts?

Story Engine
Story engine is broken. Rocket Training and Relic stories don't start any more.
Several functions of the story engine were updated that were only looking at old style cities, not considering the new buildings. Since then, I have seen the Relic mission start in testing. Rocket training should start. I will be testing all stories once the servers are restarted.
Assorted improvements were made to the story engine over the past few days. I was concerned that parts of an unfinished improvement might have crept into the last update, breaking the story engine even more. That is the reason for the update today.
Rocket Training Snafu
The rocket training mission requires that the player have less than 3 minutes in a rocket. This causes a problem when a player makes a space rocket and flies it before they have all the other stuff needed by the mission. It never starts after that.
Rocket training startup requirement was changed. The requirement for less than 3 minutes in a rocket was removed. A new requirement was added that the player has never gotten the rocket training mission.
Offer Items
Deantwo made a great suggestion recently to combine the Auction and For Sale buttons into one function.
Auction and For Sale buttons were combined into a single Offer Items button on comm channels. Use it to sell, auction or give items and cargo.

Server Deadlock
There were a few server lock ups in the past few days.
Each time, the problem was traced to a deadlock that happened when a guard tower targeted an enemy unit. The deadlock was fixed.
Broker Ship Category
It would be much easier to set up a broker to keep a colony alive if they could ship categories of commodities, e.g. Food.
Broker shipments can now be specified by category.
Targoss Rewrite
The Targoss tutorial is so useless it's a joke.
Wrote new Welcome New Avatar tutorial to actually show a new player how to play the game. It teaches how to do these things.
- Forage and hand craft things.
- Communicate and trade with indigenous people.
- Construct buildings and manufacture things.
- Form a government and establish cities.
- Claim worlds and steal claims.
- Conquer and defend worlds and cities.
- Begin spacecraft production.
Building Event Log
Building event logs are not reset between reports. They tend to accumulate a lot of stuff over time.
Building event logs are now reset at the conclusion of each city report cycle.
Tech in Combo Boxes
Tech objects still appear in some combo boxes. This is obnoxious because there are so many of them and they are obsolete.
Removed tech objects from these places. Let me know if you see them anywhere else they shouldn't be.- Governance commerce restrictions page.
- Mission order window.
- Make item window in primeval world.
Indigenous Won't Talk
Indigenous people won't talk to me any more. They just say they have nothing to say.
Fixed an error introduced when they were made to stop repeating themselves.
