The beautiful ringworlds left behind by a forgotten civilization.

Ringworlds are ancient constructs from a civilization long past. They encircle their star in the habitable orbit zone and have multiple shade panels to provide a day and night cycle.

Rarity

Being that a ringworld can be a very powerful system to hold, they are quite rare. Here are the conditions for them.

  • Habitable orbit zone 1.0au or less
  • No companion star blocking the habitable orbit zone
  • If the first 2 conditions are met, there is a 3% chance of a ringworld

As A World

Ringworlds are comprised of up to 21 arcs, the number of arcs is determined by orbital radius. Each arc have the same width and length and acts as a separate world each. Each arc has 4 resource zones and is able to produce an officer.

Ring Radius Number of arcs
0.25au 6
0.5au 11
0.75au 16
1.0au 21

Electricity

Unique machinery of a ringworld provides free electricity to all buildings and manufacturing jobs. It does however not supply enough to power to operate military buildings.

Sea Connection

While each ringworld arc is treated separate, it is possible for a wharf on one arc to create a trade connection with wharves on any other arc of the same ring.

Star Gate

The ringworlds are not just gigantic artificial worlds, they also have the immense power to create artificial wormholes to anywhere in the universe.
