Police stations are required to expand the size of a city, and to prevent morale penalties.

Jurisdiction

Police stations claim jurisdiction over an area. That area and all buildings contained in it become part of the police station's city. The size of the jurisdiction area of a police station depends on the amount of offices the building blueprint has.

A police station must encompass the capitol building or another an existing police station in its jurisdiction area. Police jurisdiction areas from one city cannot overlap the jurisdiction areas of any other cities.

Morale

One police station professional job is required for every 60 population in a city in order to avoid morale penalties.
