After the dark period where the game was offline for 6 months, the 5th universe was started thanks to popular demand.
This universe was notable for starting with a limited play area, known as The Box.
The 5th universe also marked the start of the pay to play (P2P) payment model.
When the box restrictions were removed, the universe saw a massive drop in activity, with player counts averaging 1 and very few historic events happening over a period of years. This lasted until the end of the universe.
This universe also marked the introduction of the Spacecraft Update and the new designers.
