Gen IV broken? (windows64bit)

#1
When I try to create any avatar, (not just Gen IV it turns out) it gives me a full list of shaders that failed to link.  VCredist failed to install because it said there was an existing version on the computer already.

Is this common?

Yes it is a common issue. Make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date.

I don't know what that is.

So I did a little digging and found about 4 zillion (okay about 6) VisualC++ Redist Libraries installed, is that normal?  This is not my usual computer, I may have fried my main recently and I'm operating on a former-corporate laptop that I really need to stop operating on.

Can I safely remove all the other ones and JUST install the most recent (2017) one?  Do they cover the previous updates etc?

I don't understand what the VisualC Redistributables have to do with anything though.

The last thing you need to try is check which GPU the game is using. It is a common issue for users with two GPUs, especially laptops with an integrated GPU. Basically the OS seem to usually classify Hazeron as a low graphics-intensive application, and and it will then try to use the lower performance GPU which in most cases doesn't support OpenGL.

I bet you hit the nail on the head right there.

They are separate library packages. Not interchangeable.
