Your experience with Syndicate

#11
Third perspective ...

As I stated in another post, I have been playing since early in U3, My empires are usually in the top 5 in size when I'm active. I can't say I've ever even encountered a Syndicate member in game in all that time.

If you want to play in the core areas you invite conflict simply by being in proximity of it.
I plan on living forever ..so far so good!

Syndicate aside, I think this invites an interesting question: Could there be a galaxy which enabled PvP, but disabled PvP against colonies? I think that would largely solve the issues most associate with Syndicate.

Would kinda mean you should harass newbies by claiming all moons in their starting solar system. But I guess that is still possible either way. Some form of solar system claim would likely be nice, to prevent such greifing.

As for preventing city conquest, at least I assume that is what you mean, is somewhat already a thing now with the noncombatant system. But I still personally like the idea of a solar system siege mechanic better.

Reform the Syndicate? Thats a banger of an idea. I'll take it under notice if/when Hazeron comes back.

Goodbye WGF/Syndicate... Hello Syndicate 2.0. Bigger, Better, More carebear, half the calories and war crimes but same great taste!

I love that we get all the credit for this and none of the other empires that came before us doing far worse things lol.

When things go wrong, people tend to burn the flag of whoever everyone knows is the real boss, irrespective of actual blame in that specific case.
