Hello guys. I playd Hazeron a lot, and i like this game much. Now i working with my game project, so i have no time for plaing video games more. But im very interested in following the development of SoH. In my project i using Unigine game engine. I thought, maybe Haxus would be interested in the idea of transferring the game to a modern game engine. I understand how much effort it costs. But in the long term, the project will be in profit only.
Regards, Vasara.

I like Shores of Hazeron the way it is now. Compare it to Minecraft, Minecraft has it's own theme too and so does Hazeron.
Converting from one engine to another is an extremely taxing task even for a decently sized team, and i feel doing so would only harm Hazeron's development. The rewards of switching to a new engine do not outweigh the effort needed to do so, and the plethora of new bugs it would introduce. Plus working with a new engine unfamiliar to Haxus would come with its own headaches of relearning everything. Its just not worth it.

Mate if your in game desgin, then you should realize that people can't switch engines like magic.

Is switching game engines as easy as flicking a switch for you? if so, Apply to hazeron's development team right now!

No, it takes a lot of work. But supporting your own engine in actual state requires titanic work for individual developer. This is not an offer to give up everything and run somewhere. This is just one idea to think about. Or forget.
You'll probably have a better time, and much better result, if you re-wrote all the game features from scratch in the new engine, rather than trying to port it over. But that's still going to take a lot of time and work.

And I highly doubt it's going to happen.

That's highly unlikely.
