Spacecraft waiting to appear due to "No Unobstructed Slab Nearby"

design is 22117 ESI UFO NoFTL, built at a Haxus designed spacecraft factory.

Slabs were removed from the game long ago, spacecraft factory seems to still be looking for them to spawn ground sized spacecraft.
Issue has been around for a while.
As far as we know it is because the spawn points are blocked. Try building a new spacecraft factory further away from your other buildings.

Do you have grading under your spacecraft factory?

The default haxus design should have allocated pads available, are there any roads built over your factories?
No roads over them, tried on flattened ground as well. no luck. Eventually just built a station and used larger ships so they would not attempt ground placement.
This is still one of the most disrupting issues. Many players are unable to get their first spacecraft built because of it.

We don't have a reliable workaround. Best solutions we have is to just build a new spacecraft factory further away and maybe rotated differently.
I've had the same factory build sometimes and not others.
though maybe the ship blueprint you're building matters too? might be something to check out.
Trying several different spacecraft factory designs, I find that small rocket-oriented spacecraft, like Haxus' own "Rocket" design, cannot spawn on the ground. They encounter the "Waiting to spawn - no unobstructed parking space" error, even when ordinary VTOL spacecraft spawn fine.
What seems to have worked for me is placing the factory on ground levelled above the sea from a hill.
So my tips for likely causes:
1. levelomg to below natural ground  is causing the issue
or
2. as most peoples first cities are likely coastal it may be that theparking spots close ot sea level are incorrectly detected as below sea level so the parking spots are obstructed for non-submergible ships (needs a test) thouhj I'm leaning towards the formed cause.
This should be fixed in the most recent update.

Spacecraft factory manufactured a Gulliver class ship in a little over 5 minutes. Then it complained there was no unobstructed parking spot. It is a big ship for spawning on the ground but there were no units in the area.

Improved the function that looks for obstructions to be much more precise.
