Resources For Building Design?

#1
Is there a good resource for designing buildings?  I enjoyed the videos on space craft design, but was unable to find anything specific to buildings.  For the most part it seems intuitive after watching the space craft design videos, but things like site choices and how to design buildings for use on the shore are not entirely clear to me.

There's nothing specific to buildings, it's all the same principle.
If you have a specific question, just ask it.

I have asked Haxus a few times to bump up the priority of a "building designer" tutorial video. I guess he hasn't had time.
Main points that are important for buildings that aren't important for spacecraft, is "sites" and how to use the "designer center".

The designer center is especially confusing players, since the designer error messages just refer to it as "CG".
Code:
Error: CG outside design extents below. Move the bottom down or move the whole design down.
Error: CG outside site extents below. Move the bottom of the site down or move the whole site down.
Error: CG outside site extents above. Move the top of the site up or move the whole site up.

I guess my specific questions would be how do you create shore buildings, is there a way to modify a site after placement, and what are the properties of various types of site?

What's more important to me though is that these things be shared with others because I know if I'm asking these questions, others are too and it would be nice to have a clear resource to share with people.

There's one unintuitive caveat about shoreline buildings: Their "front" face should face water, not road.
It is marked as such in the designer, but just to make it clear.
